Cocoa For Future
Cocoa for Future is an initiative by EDEKA Zentrale Stiftung & Co, aimed at promoting sustainability in the chocolate supply chain. Launched in Ghana, it currently supports 1,000 smallholder cocoa farmers. The project focuses on three key pillars:
1. Better Cocoa: Enhancing cocoa quality and farming practices.
2. Protection of Forests: Ensuring sustainable land use and forest conservation.
3. Strong Communities: Strengthening local communities through education, infrastructure, and economic support.
This holistic approach aims to create a more sustainable and equitable cocoa industry.
